About Our Practice

Emily Prather, LIMHP

As a mental health therapist, a value that I practice with all of my clients is that every individual, from child to adult, deserves an opportunity to feel heard and respected in therapy. I promote an environment of processing and healing through building therapeutic rapport and genuine safety for clients. My goal in working with clients and families is to be there every step of the way and offer support in the healing and growth process. Everyone deserves the chance to be the best version of themselves, now, and in the future.

My name is Emily and I come to Sage Counseling Omaha with four years of experience working with children and families impacted by trauma and involved in the child welfare and legal system. Through working in an agency, I was afforded the opportunity to apply my training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) with varying family systems and narratives, some of which include foster care.

I have also completed clinical-endorsed training for youth with problematic sexual behaviors and have experience working with youth and families impacted by sexual abuse.
